Luxury villa rental Tamarindo Costa Rica - pool, jungle, open-concept design

Luxury villas in Tamarindo and Guanacaste, Costa Rica – hand-picked, professionally presented, with the concierge baked in. We promote a curated portfolio of villas on the Pacific gold coast and handle the whole guest experience – from arrival to activities to checkout – so you only pay for the villa, not the headache.

Why book a villa in Guanacaste?

For groups of four or more, a luxury villa in Tamarindo or Guanacaste is almost always cheaper per person, more private, and more flexible than booking a hotel or resort. Private pool, full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, outdoor dining, optional private chef, and a full in-villa concierge (us) who books your activities, transfers, restaurants, and chef nights – all included. Nightly rates run $400 to $3,500 depending on size and season.

Our featured villas

Villa vs hotel / resort

Quick comparison if you are torn between a villa and a hotel. For solo travelers or couples a hotel can win on simplicity; for groups of 4+ a villa is almost always better value and experience.

How villa booking works

1. Tell us your dates

Inquiry form, name + dates + group + interests.
2. We check availability

Within 24 hours we confirm with the villa and send you an exact quote.
3. Lock the week

25-30% deposit holds the dates. Final balance due 30 days before arrival.
4. We plan the rest

Concierge starts: airport transfers, in-villa breakfast, activities, chef nights, surf lessons.
5. Arrive, exhale

We meet you at the villa. Everything is set up. You do nothing for the rest of the week unless you want to.

Why book through us, not Airbnb

Airbnb gives you a booking. We give you a trip. Every PlayaCR villa includes the in-villa concierge – that means we book your fishing day, sunset catamaran, private chef nights, surf lessons, in-villa massages, wildlife tours, and airport transfers – at local rates, with vetted operators – while you are sitting by your pool.

Same villa price as direct (or less). Plus the trip.

Frequently asked questions

Why book a villa instead of a hotel in Costa Rica?
For groups of 4 or more, a luxury villa in Tamarindo or Guanacaste is usually cheaper per person, gives you a private pool, full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, and built-in concierge. For couples or solo travelers, a smaller villa or boutique guesthouse beats a generic resort room for the same money.
How much does a luxury villa cost in Tamarindo?
Indicative nightly ranges: $400 to $800 for a 2-3 bedroom, $800 to $1,500 for a 4-5 bedroom, $1,500 to $3,500 for a 6-8 bedroom oceanfront or hilltop villa. Holiday weeks (December and Easter) command a premium with minimum-stay requirements.
What is included with a PlayaCR villa stay?
Daily housekeeping, personalized breakfast, full in-villa concierge, all activity and restaurant bookings, airport transfers (Liberia), and 24/7 local support throughout your stay.
Where in Costa Rica are your villas?
Currently in Tamarindo (Casa Cheetah). We are onboarding additional villas in Tamarindo, Langosta, Playa Conchal, Flamingo, and Las Catalinas.
How far in advance should I book a villa?
For peak season (December through April) and holiday weeks, 3 to 6 months ahead is comfortable. Green season (May through November) 4 to 8 weeks is usually fine. Last-minute can work if you are flexible on dates.
Can I book a villa for a wedding, bachelorette, or group event?
Yes – many of our villas regularly host weddings, surf trips, wellness retreats, and bachelorette weeks. We pair the villa with chef nights, private yoga, sunset catamaran charters, and event setup.
How does the deposit and payment work?
25 to 30 percent deposit at booking holds the dates. Final balance due 30 days before arrival. Refund policy varies by villa – confirmed in the booking agreement.
Do villa rentals include a private chef?
Optional – most villas have a chef on standby for breakfast or multi-course dinner service. See our Private Chef pillar for what is on offer.

Tell us your dates, group size, and what you want from the week – we will match you to the right villa.
